Doc Holiday, a longtime resident of Huntsville and very recognizable KSAM personality, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. On February 4^th, KSAM, along with other organizations and businesses in town, will be sponsoring a fundraiser at the Walker County Fairgrounds to honor Doc Holiday’s retirement and to also raise money to alleviate the medical costs for Doc and his family.

There will be lots of BBQ, desserts, music with Variety Sounds and possibly local bands, a raffle, and an auction. KSAM is currently collecting items for the auction. If you would like to donate an item or money to this cause, please call the KSAM office at 936-295-2651. Any donation or help would be greatly appreciated!

This event is still in the planning stages. Ticket costs have not been announced. We will update this article when that information is released.
