Looking for something to do this weekend with your children or grandchildren? How about something that is both fun AND educational?
This Saturday, April 30th, SHSU and the Huntsville Area Literacy Council are teaming up to host the first annual Celebration of Literacy. This is a free event to honor the International Day of the Child and is for children, from age four to adolescents of twelve, to come out and participate in arts and crafts, storytelling, and a book walk.
Transportation will be provided. Buses will be available to pick children up in two separate locations—Huntsville Intermediate School and Huntsville Elementary.

Literacy is important at all ages, and it is never too early or too late to develop a love of reading--EVERYONE should read!
